Quick start

Quick start

  1. When the download opens, install Evidence Engine on Windows 11 x64.
  2. Buy a license, or start the trial when that link opens. Paste the license key from the Lemon Squeezy email into the app.
  3. Enter the address of a site you own or are authorised to test. The scan runs on your PC, and its records and evidence are stored there. The app does request that site's pages and links from your PC, and a few optional checks make other requests; Privacy lists them.
  4. Choose a preset (10, 30 or 50) or type your own limit, up to 200 pages, 500 link checks, depth 10, or 30 minutes. A trial stops earlier: 30 pages, 30 link checks, depth 2, and 10 minutes.
  5. Read the findings. After a fix, recheck. Resolved means two clean checks in a row. A JavaScript exception stays "Not reproduced yet" when a later check does not see it.
  6. Export the Evidence Pack for the scan you want to hand over.

To move the license, choose Deactivate on this PC, then activate on the new PC. Deactivate does not copy your old reports. Those stay on the PC where the scan ran.
